Ilaya Rose 2018 by Manastira winery is a wine that is representing the terroir of Sredna Gora in an extremely interesting rose slightly aged for 3 months in an oak barrel. The wine has onion peel color and is made from the indigenous Bulgarian grape variety Mavrud.

The nose is dominated by notes of vanilla, coconut and cream followed by a fresh fruit profile expressed by peach, apricot, cherry, sour cherry, accentuated over time strawberry, as well as delicate caramel notes

The taste is extremely intense with a very good body expressed through cream and caramel covering fresh fruits – peach, apricot, melon, cherry and sour cherry and balanced with powerful ripe taste of strawberry jam. They are supported by a fine spiciness of geranium and tender caramel.

Very intense and complex rose demonstrating excellent development on the palate, this wine would impress the fans of intriguing roses.
