Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 by Varbovka winery is a wine that presents Cabernet Sauvignon in a very expressive and interesting way through the prism of the local terroir.

Its dark ruby color and delicate aroma of tea leaves gently caresses the nose and predisposes it to the extremely high complexity of this wine. A complex aroma of strawberry jam, rosehip jam, dark chocolate and vanilla envelops the nose, complemented by powerful notes of juicy blackberry, wild raspberries, mulberry and blueberry. Additional freshness and floral profile are given by shades of mint, linden and lilac. This freshness is moderately balanced by heavy, aromatic notes of graphite, malted barley and lucerne.

All this complexity leads to an intense aroma of roasted red pepper developing over time, which in combination with tomato leaves is transferred to the palate. There those jam notes are complemented by raspberry jam, and the fruit profile goes more in the direction of plum, blackcurrant and black cherry. Shades of cherry juice and orange peel wrapped in vanilla bring a ripe freshness feeling.
