Marash Cabernet Franc 2012 is a wine produced in the Thracian Valley, which carries the delicacy of the Cabernet Franc in combination with 12 months of aging in oak barriques.
Its light ruby color complements with delicate aroma, caressing texture and pleasant freshness. The aroma is dominated by black currant, sour cherry, cherry and red apple peel combined with green walnut and green olive, supplemented with savory, tea leaves and forest floor. Vanilla, caramel and eucalyptus, which come from the maturing, add a nice extra finesse.
The taste reflects in a splendid way the long development of this wine, expressed in red fruit jam, red apple peel, tea leaves and pleasant freshness, reminiscent of juicy cherry plum, sour cherry and cocoa beans, followed by taste of eucalyptus, vanilla and caramel.
A good example of a Cabernet Franc with an expression of local terror.
